This time let me focus my attention from my “life” towards instances which I had come across off late. Following are the two cases which are bright in my thoughts.
Instance 1
I got inside a Cab asking the chauffer to take me to VT Station via Churchgate since I had to drop my colleague halfway. After few kilometres I realised that he is heading directly towards Churchgate and from there it would have been difficult to get back to VT as it would have hit my wallet and time more. I literally yelled at him and calling him insane as it was told well upfront about my destination and how it should be routed. But ignoring all what we said, he claimed that he was told to drop at Churchgate but actually did not mutter much. I was fuming with frustration as I was getting late and was about to miss my train. Ultimately once we reached Churchgate with anger I got down and decided to board another Cab as I had plainly given up on that person. I paid him and it was a shock of my life. As he tried to pacify me, he was stammering and making me understand about what happened. Also I figured out that he was having hearing problem since he was not at all responding to my voice and didn’t even reply to my question about the fare. He was completely passive about the whole incident.
I didn’t know what to do with myself and how to retort because I read such incidents only in my English textbook during my school days. I just walked away and boarded another cab. It’s really strange sometimes with the kind of situations you get into and realise that you could have acted better. Also I was wondering whether he pretended to be one in order to avoid my “Mother-Sister” abuses. If he was truly hearing-impaired then how did he get the licence? Hmmm....Did I get fooled? I don’t like to believe that.....
Moral: When you get inside a cab ensure you check two mandatory sense of organ (i.e. Eyes and Ears) of the person who is responsible to drive.
Instance 2
It was around 8.30 pm in the evening, got down at Bandra Station, waiting for my friend to join me but was expected to be late. I decided to just loiter around and found a canteen to quench my thirst. Doing so, I noticed few beautiful ladies footing next to me were munching ‘Wada Pavs’ with my watering mouth even I sought to have it. My reference out here is to ‘have’ Wada Pav Ok!! Anyways so I asked the Canteen guy to give me Wada Pav as well but he said it is a “Juice Canteen” and for ingestion I will have to go ahead to another eatery. I looked around and people were looking at me as I was bit loud in asking so and I knew I made a ‘popat’ out of myself in front of those attractive chicks. Yea, it’s okay as I am quite used to it. There was another man standing next to me, looked very old and shabby on his sports shoes along with his weird face. He got unimpressed about what had happened. He asked me “Yahaan Kya Wada Pav Milega Kya ? Dikhta nahi sirf Juice bhara pada hai? For a moment I could not understand what that man was up to. I looked at him and I smiled. I asked “Aap kyon bura maan rahe ho,aapki dukaan hai kya ?” and I laughed horribly. He again muttered the same “Wada Pav milega,Wada Pav huh !!” and walked away.
I couldn’t stop myself laughing as I fail to fathom his bloody problem when Canteen guys were courteous to guide me. I finally managed to spot some smiles on those chicks and one actually looked at me saying “That man is mad” and I was like Uday Chopra from Dhoom 1 visualising all that theatrical dreams with that sweet girl. Then I got a call and had to part
Moral: Next time any gorgeous lady is eating Wadapav infront you and you want to eat as well then please go and ask her where did she get it from. Otherwise you will make a mockery of yourself.
